Coir is easy to buy once. Supplying the same specification, month after month, to a container schedule is a manufacturing problem — and that is what our facility is built around.
Capacity
Two manufacturing companies, one controlled process
Go Green Exports manufactures at Kahawala Estate, Wellarawa, Bingiriya, and expanded its manufacturing base in 2022 with the establishment of Premium Coco Substrates (Pvt) Ltd.
The site runs decorticating, screening, washing, pressing and packing operations under one management system, with warehousing and a loading yard on the same footprint. That matters commercially for one reason: material does not have to be bought in from third parties at the point where a large order needs filling, so specification and timing stay under our control.
Scale is also externally recognised. When the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka awarded Go Green Exports Gold at the NCE Export Awards 2023, it did so in the Large Category of the Coconut & Coconut Products Sector.

From raw material to global shipment
Six controlled stages between a coconut husk and your port
Each stage has defined standards and checks under our ISO 9001:2015 certified management system.
Raw material sourcing
Coconut husk is sourced from selected Sri Lankan suppliers and assessed against defined input standards before it is accepted into production. Only material that meets specification enters the line.
Processing & screening
Husk is decorticated and separated into pith and fibre, then screened to the particle grade the product calls for — peat, chip, or a specified peat-and-chip blend.
Washing & EC control
Washed grades are rinsed to bring electrical conductivity into the band the buyer has specified. Low-EC material is our standard offer for horticultural substrates.
Quality testing
Batches are checked against the parameters that matter to the specification — moisture, electrical conductivity, pH, particle size, expansion, weight and pack condition — under our ISO 9001:2015 management system.
Compression & packing
Hydraulic presses compress material into blocks, briquettes, cubes, discs and low-compression bags. Packs are printed to our own brand or to buyer artwork for private-label programmes.
Container loading & export
Finished goods are palletised, loaded and documented for export. Our logistics team compares vessel schedules and routings to quote a competitive CNF price to the buyer's nearest seaport.

Reliability of supply
What keeps a recurring programme running
Input standards before production
Raw material is inspected and evaluated against defined specifications before it is accepted. Unsuitable husk does not enter the system, so variation does not travel downstream.
In-process control
Operators follow established procedures and carry out regular inspections and process checks. Deviations are identified early and corrected rather than discovered at release.
Release inspection
Before dispatch, product is checked against the agreed specification — moisture, EC, pH, particle size, expansion, weight and pack condition, as applicable. Only approved product is released.
Shipping planned, not booked blind
We review vessel schedules, transit times and transhipment requirements before confirming a shipment, and work with established shipping lines and freight forwarders.
Documentation handled in house
Shipment documentation, container arrangements and logistics coordination are managed by our own operations team, not outsourced to an agent.
Private label without a separate supplier
Pack format, blend, case configuration and printed artwork are produced on the same lines, so a private-label programme carries the same batch controls as our own brand.
