About Coir Geotextiles
Coir geotextile is woven from spun coconut fibre into an open mesh. Laid over a prepared slope it holds soil against runoff, lets water infiltrate, and creates the sheltered surface conditions seed needs to germinate.
As the vegetation takes over, the coir decomposes and returns organic matter to the soil — so there is nothing to lift and dispose of at the end of the job.
Specified by engineers, contractors and environmental agencies for roadside slopes, riverbanks, embankments, coastal protection and mine-site restoration.
